LG Warranty

I'm contemplating buying this device and an Ebay seller has one purchased a year ago claiming it has one year remaining on the 2 year warranty. According to the LG warranty pdf it states the warranty is for the original owner. Has anyone here bought a used one and was able to get warranty work done in spite of not being the original owner? Thanks

Find another phone as I have a brand new LG phone with issues. If I can't get the issue resolved the phone goes back for a refund.
