It's legit a noreaster outside here in New England. Heavy rain and wind. Accuweather never really ever says it's raining when it's clearly raining. Anyone else have this issue?

I've noticed that it will sometimes say that it's raining when it isn't, and vice versa, but living in Old England, I'm used to such inaccuracies and have come to expect little more of weather forecasts than the prediction that there will actually be weather of one sort or another.

I have yet to find an app that's 100% accurate across the board, and I find Accuweather isn't the greatest for precipitation.

I rely on 3 apps: Accuweather Pro (not the G3's built-in app), TWN (The Weather Network - pretty much The Weather Channel but Canadian content), and WeatherBug. Between the 3 I can get a pretty decent idea of what it's going to be doing. Accuweather is pretty good with temps, not so much with wind and precipitation. TWN is good for wind, and much better then Accuweather for precipitation, WeatherBug is a nice overall app - it's nice to have a 3rd input to get a reading on the day's weather - it's also nice that I can set alerts for severe weather, not just for my home location, but any location I set.

WeatherPro should do the trick for you, designed and coded in Europe, works well worldwide.

Don't use weather app running all the time, eats ram. I use BBC weather and set to sync every 6 hours.

I used to use that app but had an instance of large battery drains from it overnight. Uninstalled and reported via email to developer, tried again a couple of weeks later, same thing. Same thing a couple more weeks later. It may have been fixed by now....I hope so because it's an excellent app.
