Liberty Gingerbread

That's the launcher that comes with the ROM. The stock launcher is not there (Blur is gone).

Also do I have to SBF back to .340 to install Liberty 2.0.1 if I want to or can I just flash it over this? Not sure if anybody will even know that or not.

Liberty GB

Installed over leaker gb .588.. didnt have to sbf.. thing is i cant get my swype back? dont know where it went? not in keyboard settings.. might have to install beta now

I did do a back up but is that just my apps and data or is it the whole ROM? I did it via ClockWork but the Liberty Toolbox ROM Manager asked me to back up my ROM but I figured since I did it via ClockWork it already was.

Are you sure it's not in the Language & keyboard section of Settings? It was there for me.

Well, I was going to post screen shots tonight, but I bricked my DX, LOL. Oh well, sbf when I get home and I'll try again later. Glad I made sure the battery was charged before I flashed.

I'm downloading it and then I'll be flashing in a few minutes. What do you guys use for screenshots? I have never even taken a screen shot so I don't have any app. Also while we are talking about Liberty what do you guys get as far as battery and what's your cpu running at?

Drocap2 or ScreenshotIt

This is quite an ambitious undertaking for JRummy and the rest of the Liberty boys. Providing nightly builds like Cyanogen does. I wish I had another phone that I could use so I could comfortably run the nightlies on my DX.

It's a lot of extra work to provide nightlies to the end users. I hope things go well so he will continue this practice.

Screenshots as promised

I'll get some more later. Let me know if there is something else you want to see.

I was expecting to see screens flooded w yellow and birds as in froyo lol but congrats on the move thats a great ROM to run.

Theming won't come until they get things stable. No point building a theme when the next day framework changes. Their black and yellow will come. I can't wait till we get to an RC state or final build. I've liked their work so far and am looking forward to a new software iteration.

Been using it for a few hours now and it is stable. Just have a few bugs to work out and it will be good to go. All in all, not bad for a first build.

Been using Liberty GB for almost a day now and I am impressed. It is very fast, like I would expect from Liberty. No real big issues that I have come across. The biggest issue that I had was not being able to add accounts through settings. I was able to add through gmail, so no huge deal. Jrummy knows about the issue but it did not happen to everyone. Have had no issues with apps since most have already been updated for GB. That all said and done, with as good as this initial build is, this is looking like the best Liberty yet.

When I get some more time, I'm going to flash over to the ota leak to get a better idea of the differences. I'll keep you updated.

If you're flashing to Liberty GB from an sbf I would recommend using the bootstrap in the Liberty toolbox. I bricked on my first time flashing and the only thing different was using that instead of DX Bootstrap. Flashing from the Liberty toolbox works great.

Has anybody flashed this over .588?
Or do we have to sbf back to 2.3.340?

You don't have to SBF back to 340. If you're on 588, he provided a different file in the toolbox for you to use to install Liberty.
