ok ive had my bolt for a week now and im really enjoying it except for the light leakage by the bottom buttons.

Im worried i will mess up the phone if i try the black silicone solution but are there really any other options?

It doesnt affect the performance of the phone its just an eyesore.....

I am not 100% sure on this but if the light leak really bothers you you can ask for a replacement, "like new" phone from VWZ. I'm pretty sure if you aren't satisfied with the build of your $500 dollar device they will more likely just swap with you. It's worth a try either way but I am not a big fan of putting substances on my electronic device like silicone solution.

well i will stick with this nusiance issue and keep my otherwise great device.....im afraid if i traded in to get rid of the light leak i could end up with one with worse, more serious isues.

I'm wondering too...I have two light leaks below the home button and back arrow..they are about 1/4 of an inch? And it just doesn't look like the screen is seated well..trying to decide whether to exchange it or not and worry aout getting one with the same issues.

I recently just bought 2 new ones dates are in may thank goodness and personally im a very picky person but no light leakage on mine, I have looked in pitch black rooms and none only a thought here maybe they fixed or paid better attention to them in later build dates.
