Like my G6 decision vs S8

It looks to me that the S8 is way to bright and washing out the details.

I watched it on my LED tv. I saw plenty detail. The G6 was great as well. Two different approaches, so again, depends on what you're looking for. There's no right or wrong.

I feel like everyone is trying to justify their purchase by saying nothing but negative things about the competition. It's okay to love your choice of device, while giving credit where credit is due.

What makes you think I'm trying to justify any purchase? This is my 13th phone this year, I'm pretty sure I quit justifying my purchases somewhere around 3 or 4. Also what makes you think you're the only one watching a video on a LED TV? Do you think nobody has a TV or monitor to view YouTube? To me, it looks washed out. Whether you watch it on a LED TV or a iPhone doesn't change how it looks to me and it looks washed out.

TBH I'd rather have the google home than the VR. I already have one that came with the S7 edge. 6 months later I got bored with it and it just sits in its box in my room.

Yeah I did VR a for a little then stopped. Phone VR doesn't compete with things like the Vive for the PC so I lost interest in it very fast with my S7 Edge.

Oh yeah that's not even close. Vive is like a whole different category.

In all seriousness....the s8 is like a ipod with all screen. Way too small and way to vertically rectangular. Not even a comparison between the s8 and g6. S8+ yes....is better...but at 100 bucks more....so..pick ur poison....I am waiting hopefully for a 6.5 inch N8. Samsung screen not any better that better than G6. Not to get over that tall screen with no width. Plus....have we mentioned the fingerprint reader???! G6 all the way...for the price.

Want to upgrade from my S7 edge to the G6. Had the G4 & v10. Both great phones. Just waiting for root before I pull the trigger.

Depends what you mean by better buy. Better value I would say the g6. I can tell you the last few lg phones I have used run much smoother than the samsung phones I've used.
I will openly admit my LG v20 runsnfar smoother than my 7edge (7edge is being "jumped from" to the S8 Plus)

Truth be told if the S8 came in a flat screen I would have picked it up instead of the G6. It would have been enough to nudge me over despite the fact I can't stand the fps location. As is though the G6 packs enough of a punch to get my money instead.
