Well. I got my defender case today and its going right on back. As the above poster said, the added weight just plain sucks. The size doesn't quite double it in thickness but it is close. I was really excited for this but that was quickly extinguished. Oh well. I've ordered the incipio and hope that works out. Back to the silicone gel sleve...

Oh and for those with the HD speaker dock, the defender flap muffles the sound when docked

Like mine.
It is bulkier than the Xoom alone, but you have to expect that with the amount of case/protection.
I am a little dissappointed with the cover, seems a little flimsier than I expecgted, but it works great.
I like the extra size/grip when I use the device, and I LOVE the stand feature. Am using it as the stand right now with the bt keyboard to type this in.

Personally I highly recommend the case to every Xoom user. I do think it should be more in the $69 range, than the $89 Otterbox wants for it (I didnt buy thru Otterbox, so I didnt pay the $89 they want direct. Would recommend anyone wanting one to shop around, you can get it much cheaper).

I dont use the speaker dock, so I cant speak to the speaker being covered, but I DO use the non speaker (aka cheaper) dock, and it works fine with it to charge in the case.

I use the HD speaker dock and haven't noticed a difference in sound level or quality. Regarding the grip, I'd rather see a textured rubber in place of the smooth silicon feel currently used on the Defender. That was one thing that bothered me about the silicone cover(s) I tried. Not enough gription.

got mine yesterday. the bulk was expected but i like the protection it provides. i use the hard section to cover the screen to protect it.

i waqs think about getting the otterbox for the xoom. Just not sure if i want to drop 80 bucks to get it has anybody seen it for cheaper

I've seen it online for about $50.
