Limitations on number of bluetooth devices?

I cant seem to connect more than 2 ps3 controllers to my droid bionic. The app im using is supposed to allow up to 4 controllers and others have verified it works. However, my phone is letting any more than 2 connect. Is this a droid bionic limitation in the bluetooth chip? or should i be worried about the app / controller?

Im using N64oid with sixaxis controller app. it works fine and i have it setup to play with multiple players. I can currently play with 3 players (1 using on screen keypad and 2 using controllers). However, i want to hook up additional controllers. I cant get the controllers to sync with my phone regardless of what app or what games im using. The app has confirmed that it works with multiple controllers on other devices


So again, are there any limitations to the number of bluetooth devices able to be connect to the droid bionic?
