List all issues with EVO update 3.70.651 here.

For me it put duplicate widgets on top of my already placed widgets... it was kinda weird. I had to manually get rid of them all... Notifications would only pop up for the 1 in the background so it looked very hazy..

Since the update I can no longer stream music on 3g just wi-fi, my battery is draining faster and the one I haven't seen mentioned is the visual voicemail app will no longer work. The widget does nothing and if I go into programs to open it, it just forces close immediately . It also forces close as the phone is booting up. I called my voicemail today and realized I had a ton of voicemails I didn't know about. Anyone else having this problem?

Can't help ya with the Vmail thing, but
<cough cough> Reason and fix for Rdio, Rhapsody, Sirius/XM, BitBop, et al failing over 3G after OTA

Now that I have had about a day to mess with the update... I noticed that the phone is running really really slow. When I unlock it and try to do simple tasks, it seems to bog down where as before I would just zip right along. It took me almost 2 minutes to simply pull up the google search and type in 2 words from pressing the search key.

I really hope they put out a patch soon... if not... I may have to dabble in rooting...

Now its having SENSE errors... GREAT!

Issue with XM app is resolved, along with the other issues, you need to get your MSL from a Sprint tech, go into your EPST (##3282#), go into EDIT mode, enter your MSL, then go to ADVANCED, scroll all the way down to " HTTP PD Proxy Address", change the setting to 0.0.0.0, change the " HTTP PD Proxy Port" to 0, then exit. For some reason the update changes those settings to pd.vog....sprint something, and messes up any app that uses streaming data, I found this fix on the App Market, in the reviews of the XM app....notified my local sprint store of the problem, and the girl looked at me like I was crazy, she said she updated her phone, and had no issues, I told her to look here, and on other forums to see all the complaints about the latest update. Hope this helps others who are having the same issue.

i did the same thing. I took it to a Sprint tech store. Showed them this page and he did the steps to fix my evo. However the Sirius app still would not stream over 3g for more then 3 minutes without shutting off or locking up.

I looked at my Proxy port settings and they were a 8xxx number... not 0. I also noticed that most of my lag occurs when my phone sync's my accounts (the vortex symbol at the top spins).

Can I call sprint from my landline to get the MSL to change it? Anyone have a number to get direct to the people to give me the MSL...

On hold right now... they wont give me the MSL and I am having to talk to a higher up... Hopefully I can get her to give me my MSL...

*Update* Held for 9 minutes... now they say they will not give it to me. I told her that the new firmware was causing me to loose my streaming audio and that all i wanted to change was my port for the fix... she is now transferring me to tech support... total time on the phone 17 minutes... good thing I have a really flexible office job...

*update 2* Guy they transfered me to gave it to me with no problems and no questions asked... UGH....

Their may be some sort of msl calculator on line if you have excel installed. another is windows mobile 6 based. You can also go down to your local sprint store and they can tell you. Mine was provided on the paperwork print out when i got it from best buy.

No one else is having the voicemail problem? I heard I should uninstall it and it will automaticly reinstall after a reboot, but the uninstall option is greyed out in manage applications section

Posted a thread about it with no replies, but the keyboard sounds, touchtone sounds, and any selection (I think it's called "Audible Selection") produces a very faint sound, despite the volume sliders being all the way up.

Didn't happen pre-update.

THANKFULLY i have been problem free, except for all the crappy added bloatware!!!!!! i mean serriously, a blockbuster app??? does anyone even use them any more??? the company is in bankruptcy last i heard!!! and a $10 demo, whats up with that????

I did the update as I stated on here before and had tons of problems. Mainly my new Sirius would not stream. I took my phone to local Sprint and told the guy about this thread and showed him the steps and he did the fix with the MSL for me. This did help and Sirius would stream over 3g BUT only for a minute or two before stopping. It NEVER worked right. Well a few days ago my screen went black and I got a new EVO on warranty. It does NOT have the latest update and so far not one problem streaming over 3g. Also battery life is way better again.

I have been having signal issues where i normally wouldnt. Anyone else?

From my Captivate :-)

When I did the update before switching phones I noticed this also. Seemed like I always had no bars to maybe 2 where I never had a problem before.

No issues here after the update, actually the only issue I had was the streaming and that was fixed by the MSL fix.

1) Dial ##3282#
2) Choose Edit Mode
3) Enter MSL (can get this from Sprint)
4) Choose Advanced
5) Change HTTP PD Proxy Port to: 0
6) Change HTTP PD Proxy Address to: 0.0.0.0

This is ridiculous. I went from having full bars on a consistant bases in my home to dropping calls and very poor voice quality. This is starting to piss me off. Can anyone lend some advice? I am om the latest prl too
