List of Droid roms, themes and themed roms

It's the second fastest rom that i have used. Dominator 3 was faster for me but i can't get it to run very long on my droid. the longest i had it run without issues was about 3/4 of a day. It either would reboot on its own or would just shut down and the only way i could power back on was to pull the battery. I tried all Jakes kernals at different speeds and it did the same thing. I would have my phone in my holster for 2 hours or so and take it out to use it and it would be off and i would have to pull the battery to reboot. I tried it with JIT disabled but that didn't help either. While it was running it was awesome though, hopefully when it's out of beta it will run on my phone though it sounds like it's pretty much done already except for some themeing so i may just be out of luck.:(

have you wiped and tried to reinstall? sometimes that could the fix. it isn't every time but sometimes it just needs a fresh start to get going. If you really want to keep dominator i would say wipe your droid and then re-install with Boost's nandroid back up. don't load your own back up because you want a clean start.

Yeah try a full wipe I've been playing with 2.2 trying to get that working and restoring back to dominator just try the clockwork version and do a full wipe prior system boot data cache see if you have stability issues after the reload Iknow I don't

That's a kernel problem which kernels were you trying were they the latest or was this a while ago

just clarifying what you said to make sure i understood correctly. Wipe data, then load boot and system, then wipe cache? if that is what you meant then ill try it. i have always wiped data then cache then installed boot and system, but then again my method didn't work.

how are you liking 2.2 so far. i know it is not stable but do you see any improvements or potential improvements

When I say trying it I mean trying to get it to run without giving me constant fc I need to deodex the Rom just need to find out how. But I meant wipe everything then load the Rom once loaded go back and wipe data then cache that should get you up and running stable

Oh ok. So wipe everything, install rom, wipe everything again. But wont wiping data after the rom is installed wipe the rom itself?

I've done that about 4-5 times now and it still runs great for almost a day and then starts shutting down. I have done that and then didn't re-install my apps and that didn't even help so i'm pretty sure it can't be an app conflict. Apparently my droid just doesn't like dominator. Oh, well, other than bootup speed BBv1.0 is not a whole lot slower on my phone anyways and no issues thus far. I can get about 10 on linpack compared to 12 on dom3.0. Thanks anyways.

I think they were the new ones, they're the ones dated 05182010. I tried each one after doing full wipes (2x each install) and clockwork restore. I don't know what else to try so unless someone knows any other ideas i'll run BBv10.0 until dom3 is out of beta.

Wait. Your loading the kernel the doing a clockwork restore. If that true you are over writing the kernel with the one built into the nandroid you are restoring.

Try this:
Wipe data and cache
Install the nandroid
Reboot and log in and wait till it finishes syncing
Reboot to recovery and install the 1.2 kernel
Before you reboot again wipe the cache
Reboot
Then once rebooted set up your setcpu and put in your profiles
Set your standard setting as 400(or 250 whichever you prefer) - 800

Ok i am going to give it another go in a few and see if it works. I'm hoping for the best.

Bizz if you get a chance and see this, let me know if thats what you meant by how i should install it this time.

i think you said 1) wipe data cache 2)install nandroid system and boot and then once loaded 3)wipe data and cache

just want to clarify because the wiping the data at the end doesn't seem right because i thought that would just bring me back to a theme-less standard rom?

No, iinstalled the kernals AFTER the fresh installs. I just installed again. I wiped after it booted, I'll update tomorrow night after I run it tomorrow and let you know if that helped. It's running fine so far. Question though, when you install do you still have the stock 2.1 deskclock? I don't but I'm pretty sure I had it the other times. (No big deal, just curious. I can use the multimedia app when its in my dock). Thanks

To be honest I'm not sure. I have the analog clock.

So I wiped both data and cache. Installed boot and system. And then wiped cache. Rebooted. IT FINALLY WORKS PERFECTLY HAHA you have no idea how bad I didn't want to revert to another rom

Dom3 no go for me for now. Shut phone down within 1 hour this morning. Checking out CM5.0.7 now, if no likey go back to BBv1.0.

yea, I seen in rom manager after i gave up on dom 3.0. so far it's running smooth and cool. i'm getting linpack scores around 9.9 and no fcs or lag. i'm running jakes 1.2Ghz kernal with launcher pro launcher.:D

for some reason, when i tried out CM .7, my market app went away so i wasn't able to download titanium backup to restore my apps or anything else. went back to the previous version, but i'm jonesin' to try out dom 3. darn you, brett, for talking it up so much! :)

Did you install the Google addons when you flashed .7? If you installed from rom manager it should have asked you if you wanted to. The market and all the other stock Google apps are in the addons.
