wugfresh will revert you back to jelly bean nearly automatically after you set it up, which I did and I know nothing about unlocking and rooting! I saw no noticeable improvement with kitkatvthat would make me want to give up flash and my freedom of choice.

I definitely need to flash back to 4.3!

Not sure if it is definitely a KitKat issue but my nexus 4 when streaming to Bluetooth gives very loud stuttering music for a couple of seconds when waking phone up from lockscreen or when I press home button to force screen to lock.

My wife's nexus 4 is on 4.3 and has no problems at all with the sane speaker system.

I don't know squat about unlocking and rooting but used WugFresh to roll my nexus back to jelly bean from kitkat! Just make sure your entering the correct device and correct android OS version!

Going to revert mine back to 4.3

Quick question though, will the apps that have been updated still work with 4.3? i;d imagine they would and i'm just being paranoid.

Samsung S3. After upgrading to 4.4 using Omnirom 20131203 everything appears good but for tethering. I am on a contract with Three in the UK and I could use tethering before without issues and without rooting. Now the S3 behaves like tethering is working, but no device can see the hotspot, so I presume it just 'pretends' to be working. I have tried using both Android's default tethering features and FoxFi, no change.

My battery shows the lightning bolt but is not charging since the update. I hope they fix this really soon. I can't afford to get a new device.

Did you shut off then turn back on?

I'm having some odd issues with ringtones, especially for any notifications other than the phone. No matter whether I select one of the installed ringtones, my own custom ringtones, or the default, I get a single low beep sound and that's it. So far that's true for the corporate mail app, gmail, hangouts. WTH?

thank you so much for your help. How do I do this, is it something I can download on my phone like an App. I am very new to smartphones.

Wugfresh is free and is for Nexus devices, download and install Wugfresh on your PC. Your mobile device connects to PC through USB cable. Right after it install it will ask you to enter your device, Nexus 4,5 7, 10, wifi only or carrier. 1st Gen or 2nd Gen, etc.. Then select the android build you currently are running. Then it tells you how to enable USB Debugging, follow short guide. After that it tells you what you need , just say yes. Anytime it tells you you don't have something, give it permission. After it preps and opens to main and only menu, Do The Initial SetUp first, After that if you want to revert backwards, go to "Back To Stock", click on;{ Flash + Unroot}, there are two options, Soft Brick and Device is Normal, Probably Normal unless you locked it up already.

Same here. I use to listen to I Heart radio at night and in the morning there would be about 65% battery remaining. Now I'm at 18% in the morning. I have tried turning sync off etc to no effect. I would go back to 4.3 if I could. I thinking that this will cause me to get rid of the Nexus line and try somethg else, But what/

Perhaps it might be prudent to point out that rooting your device is a major decision, and I really don't think that these issues warrant it. A bit of patience with Android and app developers may be a better solution. Rooting is for people who are very unhappy with their base device and seek to alter it for that reason. Please first research before you simply do what someone on a forum says. In any case, forum advisors normally are tech savvy and can hamdle any problems that come from rooting.

Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi charge very slow (it takes 6-8 hours for a full charge) with original wall charger and USB cable, the problem started the same week I updated from 4.3 to 4.4.

A friend of mine have the same problem, everything was fine until he updated to 4.4. He told me that using a Diff cable/wall charger could fix the problem, so I tried to charge my tablet with a BlackBerry USB cable BUT using the original Asus wall charger, now it charges faster but not as fast as it should.
