So I have it turned on and although on the list I see songs that were playing historically, however 2x I heard a song playing and went to see what was playing, nothing. This second time even rewound some and played several times to see if it popped up and nothing. I then went into Google search for the song and there it was.

Not sure if this is usual stuff. But I am sure it drains on the battery maybe, but I won't leave it on if it's a dud.

Tried 3x now to check and see what was playing, although it shows stuff that played historically, 3x I have tried to look at something play, and even rewinding to check and still nothing. If I pull up a Google search it finds the song. So is this a waste or am I doing something wrong?

It just shows on the bottom of my lock screen without me doing anything. I do not have to take any actions.

I went to the just now app, I think it's called. So far worked 1/5. I will try lock screen next see if it's different. Btw I downloaded the app to my home screen to see it that worked. Nope, so far.

Are you talking about the Now Playing feature in the settings? Or a separate app? I don't know the app.

It's the now playing feature and when you first use it, it asks if you want to download the app to the home screen. I guess like a Shazam and it keeps track of the songs there. Btw still hit or miss. I even tried looking at the lock screen.
