Do you live in Houston? Have you been itching to get your hands on a GalaxyTab 10.1, but no way to get to NYC??

You're in luck -- there is a small demo booth specifically for the tablet set up in the Houston Galleria, with 10 or more devices, docks, and accessories for you to play with! It's located in front/near of Nordstrom's on the 1st floor, and they're taking pre-orders.

The people working the booth don't know much of anything (I asked about google movies & TouchWiz and they didn't even know what those things were...), but it's a really nice chance to get some one-on-one time with the device if you're thinking about ordering one.

I'm not sure how long they will be there, but I'm assuming for at least a couple of days. I spent about 30 minutes there, and once the guys figured out I knew more then they did they just let me be and play with it all I wanted.

If you're in the area and interested in buying, you should definitely stop by and check it out. I've been wanting this thing since I've heard about it, but now that I've seen & held it myself I KNOW have to have it soon!

Just wanted to share for anyone tired of watching the same videos over and over again like I was :)

I know one of the malls in Dallas has a Samsung Mobile booth set up for the Infuse, I wonder if they'll transition it over to the Tab... I hope so. I would love to see this thing in person!

I agree, the people there at the Samsung kiosk (Houston Gallaria) are some real idiots. First of all, I would like to meet the idiot that hired the kiosk manager so I can slap him in the face for hiring that fool. If a customer walks up to your location and there are no other customers around, instead of talking with another employee and ignoring someone who is ready to ask some questions, you should either aknowledge the person waiting or find another job. Another employee finally greeted me but had no knowledge to any answers for my questions. Please hire and train people that are representing your company that have knowledge of your products. Do not throw in some people just because they are desperate for a job. Even after talking with this one person, she had no answers for me and then went on to ask her manager at my request. Instead of personally coming over to speak with me, the guy directed her to give me a specific response and then just left. Wow, talk about a ship of fools. First impressions ARE important and the people here at the Samsung kiosk have truely engrained my thoughts about them. PLEASE, someone at upper managment needs to fix this problem. If you are not going to sell any products at this location, you better hire some people that will sell your company and its (somewhat) good name. For now, Samsung customer relations is at the bottom of my totum pole.
