Weird Android MP3 player problem

So, I've been dealing with various MP3 players-- the physical devices that is-- lately and recently decided to try one that was an Android device so I don't have to use or carry my phone. However, I use this with a bluetooth keyboard and it has a weird issue: the up and down arrow keys do not work. I have tried other keyboards, bluetooth and wired and they still have this issue and the up and down arrow keys do not work on the device at all, not just in the word processor I'm using.

I *suspect* the MP3 player has the software tweeked so the up and down arrows are mapped elsewhere or some such. But being a consumer product, it doesn't seem to have options for deal with this apparent.

For those interested, the device in question is sold as:

144GB MP3 Player with Bluetooth and WiFi, Android 13 OS MP3 & MP4 Players with 4" Touchscreen and Speaker, Spotify Music Players with Pandora, Audible, Amazon Music, Play Store

on Amazon. I can provide a link to the product page if necessary, but I do not recommend the device. I had to exchange it for a replacement because the first one was DOA.

There are other issues with the device, such as how it does not remember I had turned on auto-rotate when power cycling. But this arrow key business is making it borderline useless to me because navigation with the arrow keys is necessary to my purposes.

Thanks.
