Live message question

How do you write on top of someone else's live message like in the commercial. She writes, " I think I love you" then sends it to the guy and he writes on top of her message and sends it back to her by adding"too". How do you do this?

probably using smart select or a screen shot. I know, the commercials make it seem all so intuitive and easy.

Yea. Smart select works. Just kills the animation.
