Live messages grainy looking

So I found out it's when I'm connected to wifi!! If I send when connected to wifi its grainy, if I send over just cellular it's not grainy
Probably because it's a video or picture and needs data for MMS text

I just figured it would switch to cellular to send it and not try to send over wifi. Wonder if it can be adjusted by software update or if it's just how it has to be

Its supposed to, strange it wouldn't

Ok , have a goodnight

Well couldn't go to bed with that on my mind lol. I did a network reset and didn't help. Even went into the wifi setting under intelligent wifi, made sure it said switch to mobile if wifi is weak. Still nothing... so it has to almost be a software issue.

Yeah possible , try regular video or pictures see if same issues

Are you having this if you make a video with the phone, then share it with email? Could the app you 2 are using be compressing before sending? This is done alot. If so, go to the apps settings and adjust it for highest quality.
If not an option, post the app and the sequence giving you the problem.

I havent tried sending any pictures or videos that I've taken. This was only about the live messages that we can do with the S-pen. I will test photos and videos later as well

I tried to send a screen recording of how to do something on their phone, and the video came out so bad, it looks less than 8-bit

Yea I just posted about this yesterday. I have the same issue with gifs on an AT&T Note 10+. The issues never occured on my AT&T Note 9. Both had WiFi on most of the time with WiFi Calling on.

So I switched to textra and sent them over wifi and it works a little better, the live messages aren't as grainy. I also went to at&t for a new sim card, hoping it would help and it didn't. Did make my data seem faster. Guess its something in the samsung message app and the software. Hopefully it can be figured out soon, for now I'm using Textra.

Thanks. I really don't want to have to use Textra or Google Messages. Call me strangle, but I like the whole vibrate feature when you pick up your phone and have a new message. It's one of those little features that keeps me coming back to Samsung.
