Has anyone figured a work around or know of an app that can put universal/local search back on the GS3?

Do a Google search for the APK and manually install. Then your back on the saddle again!

Just remember you have to reinstall it whenever you reboot your phone

You can try gesture search, too for local stuff. Some folks like it. I don't use it much, but it does work well.
