Can anyone suggest a way to have my S8 turn wifi off when I either leave home or arrive at work? I tend to forget it turn it off at work causing a drain on my battery since my phone keeps trying to connect the network which I do not want it to do.

Tasker is an automation app. It can turn off wifi based on location. I had mine set to turn on when my phone connects to cell tower around my home. And turns off upon connecting to a tower not on my home list.

Same with office. I need my phone to be silent when at office so if it connects to a cell tower in my office area all sounds turn to silent.

Tasker has a bit of learning curve but there's a lot of help on Google. And probably the functionality you are looking for was already written by someone and you just have to copy it.

Thanks. Years ago before I became an iPhone snob I use to use tasker, I tried it again recently and just cant get the hang of things. Was hoping there was an app out there or something.

I've seen other simpler apps in the play store. Might be worth a search.
