I download pics from the web. Where do they go?

/sdcard/download

You can access it with a file explorer - I like ES File Explorer.

does the folder name imply there really is an SD card in there somewhere, jsut not one you can remove?

nm found the info. Yeah, its soldered onto the board. ah well...

No, there is a Flash memory chip soldered on the PCB. I believe they call the folder sdcard so that it "plays nice" with Android and apps without a lot of work.

Checked gallery - nothing

I even did a search via windows Usn connected

Odd...

did they actually download as jpeg/bmp/png file formats? (check the download bar as/after you download)

if you download them through an alternate browser (ie dolphin)--they could be within that app's folder--downloads.

i've downloaded some pics and it actually downloads them as html--so they're not really pictures viewable in gallery or findable via any search.

Thanks

I use the standard browser (silk) and all I see on the screen is "starting download" and that is it.

It should show it downloading in the notification bar and then show "download finished". If it doesn't then it did not actually download - try downloading it again. In any case, as I said above, downloads go to sdcard/downloads - GET a file explorer and LOOK, if it is not there then it did not download.
