I forget from when I had the EVO LTE, but there were ideal settings in Maps and in Google Now in regards to the location settings that really helped with battery life. Does anyone remember what they were/are? Thanks. The settings made a huge difference for others and for me.

I haven't seen much effect from changing the Location services entries. I leave all three options (Wireless networks, GPS, and Location and Google search) checked. In Jelly Bean, the phone only turns the GPS radio on when it's needed by an app, it doesn't stay on all the time as it did in earlier versions of Android.

What does make a difference are the settings in Maps. Make sure Report from this device, and Enable location sharing are unchecked. Ditto with Automatic check-ins and Check-in notifications.

Location reporting and Enable location history seem to have only a minimal impact on battery life.
