My phone was updated yesterday to Oreo. Now all of a sudden every time it finds location I get a notification sound and I can't figure out how to turn it off. Even when I make notifications silent it still makes a sound.

I was having this issue as well and it was driving me nuts. This SEEMS to have worked for me.
1. Open an app that requires a location
2. Pull down the activity bar at the top
3. Long press the location notification
4. Press all categories
5. Press VZW (may be different depending on provider? I have Verizon)
6. Change importance to medium no sound or low no sound or icon if you also want to get rid of that (you can still access it later from the pull down menu if needed)
