Lock screen clock won't change

Note 8 on Sprint. Since the Pie update, I can't change my clock style on the lock screen. AOD changes like it should. I have cleared the cache in the apps, I've cleared the system cache in recovery, I've rebooted the phone multiple times. I haven't done a FDR. I'm saving that as a last ditch effort. Is there anything else I can do?

Have you installed Good Lock or launcher?

Yes. I also uninstalled it and tried it that way also.

Which Good Lock ? How about launcher?

No launcher, no themes. The AOD changes like it should.

So when you try change a clock for lock screen it shows like it did but doesn't?

You don't have any apps download for lock screen wallpaper or anything?
I would go to settings type in search bar device administrator see what's there.

Everything looks good there then, maybe try this in safe mode see what happens?

I did that. It seemed good at first. Then it was right back to not changing.

It acted like it was going to change, but as soon as I turned the screen off and turned it back on, it took it out of safe mode.

Just an update. Problem fixed. Had to do the dreaded FDR.

Are you sure you didn't just lock the home screen?
I do that on my partners phone to avoid app icons disappearing *on their own*

No. I couldn't fix it so I brought in Sprint. They did everything I did and couldn't fix it. Ended up having to factory data reset it. How do you lock the home screen? This was on the first screen before the phone is opened to the home screen.

Just an update. Problem fixed. Had to do the dreaded FDR.

Unfortunately the fix had to be a reset , but glad it's working.

Yeah, it was hairy for a day or two. The phone wouldn't acknowledge smart switch from my computer, but the computer acknowledged the phone. It wouldn't stay in safe mode either. Sprint thinks it was a bad update.
