Lock screen clock

Can you change the lock screen clock without using widget locker lockscreen?

Reason I ask is I really like the setup of the stock lockscreen with no slider, ripple effect, and ability to slide anywhere to unlock. I assume I will lose those things with the widget locker lockscreen.
