Lock Screen & Drop Down Notifications

I have the Galaxy S7 for Verizon. Is there a way to disable certain notifications that appear on the lock screen? These same notifications also appear on the drop down menu.

On most apps I can just swipe the notification to the left or right and it goes away. However, some notifications don't allow this this and thus don't disappear like I want. Any help? Thanks!

Go to settings>lockscreen and security>notifications

I just messed around with those settings and still run into the same issue. There are still certain notifications that won't left me swipe them away on the drop down notifications bar

Depends on the app. Those might be persistent notifications. For example, the notification by Lightflow, or the notification by My Data Manager are persistent notifications so that the app continues to run properly.

Yes, I believe those are the apps. I attached a screenshot of one. "Do not disturb on" notification won't go away when active.

That's part of stock Android in having it there. I don't think it can be removed.
