Lock screen flicker anyone?

So if I remember right, ever since I purchased my new note 5 on AT&T a few weeks ago, I've noticed that when I want to turn the screen off by pushing the power button, it flickers, and then does the animation for screen off. Very briefly but it does happen more than not. Not smooth. Anyone else have that happening? Fix? Or is it software

Not here on my Verizon note 5. That sounds like a hardware issue to me.

I have a 64gb White from AT&T, and I have not noticed this- just tried it right now, and no screen flicker.

Huh. Thanks, I might try a factory reset to see if it helps. What would make you think it's a hardware issue?

Screen flicker is almost always hardware, software doesn't flicker it fails or gives you "blue". Maybe you should try "safe" mode first. Good luck and let us know.

Confirmed it still flickers in safe mode. I will try and upload a video later. But it only does it some times, so it makes me wonder if it is software. Idk

If it flickers in safe mode then it is a hardware problem.

I still think it may be a software issue, bad update, etc. Doesn't happen every time. Waiting on a chance to reset and on marshmallow for a new update.

Either way you'd have reset it. The update's neigh, a few days I'd guess. Good luck.
For what it's worth I had a PC once that did this and it turned out to be a bad spot in video ram.
