lock screen icon and function disappeared

I don't know if this happened with the update, but the lock screen orientation icon has disappeared from the pull-down menu on the upper left of my screen. If I want to keep a vertical or landscape orientation, I have to go into Settings and disable the feature altogether and stick with landscape. Any ideas on what happened?

Which update are you referring to? 4.2? 4.2.1?

there is a "new pull-down menu" in the upper right of the screen (started in 4.2) it has auto rotate as well as a number of other settings...

pull down the upper right. you will find the option there.
