Lock Screen Icons

I purchased my Droid Razr Maxx HD yesterday and I use the Handcent messaging app. On my previous Droid Razr I could disable the stock messaging app. allowing the Handcent icon to be shown on the lock screen instead of the stock app, but my Maxx HD is not letting me disable my stock app. Help with this?

Go to settings, notifications and there should be a setting to disable notifications and you'll only receive the ones from handcent.
