Lock Screen Issues

I know there's a weird was Samsung set up notifications on the this, having the tap the notifications then swipe to open the phone. Is there a way to change this? Its also affecting replying the messages and missed calls where I tap call back or reply from the lock screen and it will just sit there till I swipe the screen.

I believe that is by design if you have a lock code or some type of security set on the device to not allow just anyone to reply to your messages.

I just tested this and turned off lock screen security, sent myself an email an hit reply and it opened the email directly and allowed me to reply. with the lock screen set I had to swipe to unlock the display to actually reply the the message
