I was wondering if anyone knew what the lock screen on the Droid 2 looks like and is it available to us? A person at work has the Droid 2 and the stock sliding lock is neat.

I actually just did this myself. If you're rooted, all you need to do is uninstall the application "HTC Lock Screen", and then reboot. That gives you the standard Vanilla lock screen (which I like much better).

Unfortunately I'm not rooted. :(

You might want to try LockBot from the market then. I think the paid version offers a lockscreen replacement like that on the Droid 2, and the free version has a few options as well.

Howd U uninstall it?

cool option but man that free one has lots of comments talking about the app not working very well

I'm not familiar with the Droid 2 lock screen. If it's the same as the Droid 1 lock screen, there is another app option called WidgetLocker Lockscreen. I haven't used it since updating to 2.2, but it worked okay on 2.1.

Give it a shot. I had pretty good results with it.

And if rooted- you can uninstall it through Titanium Backup.

Easy to do using Root Explorer or freeze in Titanium Backup. After rebooting you get:

I personally prefer it with HTC Lock.
