Lock screen music controls are very glitchy

I've noticed in the past few days how glitchy the lock screen music controls are. I've noticed about 50% of the time they don't show up. When they do show up, the majority of the time I get this:

About 5 minutes later I look down and now I'm back to this, music is still playing:

It's great when it works, but it rarely does.

For me it seems to only work when the screen turns off with the music app open and running. If I go to the home screen with the music still playing, and then turn the screen off they don't show up on the lock screen. Maybe its supposed to be like this though

I dont have ICS on my maxx yet, but the lock screen music controls work great on my G Nexus. Can't wait to try it om my Maxx.

As far as I can tell, you can't uninstall Play Music.

Yep tru it is tha stock google music player try to uninstall updates then re-update
