AT&T Galaxy S8 Lock screen notifications reset

It seems for a couple weeks now, when I restart my phone (s8 +), the lock screen settings reset. I like having notifications and their content display on the lock screen. However, when I restart the phone, I have to go back in to lock screen settings to re-enable notifications and turn off hide content. Anyone have any ideas why this setting does not survive a restart? Thanks
