Lock screen question

Forgive me if this has been asked before (I can't find it in settings).

Is there a way to get the notifications to not show the message on the lock scrren?
I still want the notification (i.e... Where it tells me that I have a Facebook message and I don't want it to show the message content on the screen, but I want to be told that I do have a Facebook message? )

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would like to know that too. Like you, I want the notifications but not the actual message. I too have scoured through menus. I probably looked right at it and didn't see it.

Go to settings - lockscreen and security - notifications. You should have be able to set that option there.

If you want to hide the content you just select hide. It even gives you the option to just show an icon. If it's not there, then I don't know where else you would change that.
