lock screen timeout settings don't respond

Under lock screen settings, the lock screen timeout options never take effect. I changed them to various settings but it always timeouts after about 10 seconds. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Can you clarify--do you mean that when the lockscreen is on your display, the screen turns off after 10 seconds? If so, you typically can't adjust that (unless there's an option on the G2 that I'm not aware of). The lockscreen timeout option probably refers the the time it takes after the screen goes to sleep until the lockscreen activates. So in other words, if it's set to 30 seconds, that means that for 30 seconds after the screen goes to sleep, you'll be able to wake the screen up and not see the lockscreen. After 30 seconds, when you wake up the screen, you'll have to see the lockscreen.
