Hi everyone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I recently updated Android for 4.3 version
I was surprised by the way the lock screen has changed.
My issue with the way it's done now doesn't really rely on the number of widgets you can put on the lockscreen (but it's not cool anyway).
But what has changed from the previous version was: even though you have a security measure to access the phone (unlock it), it was necessary to swipe the screen first. Only after that your "favourite" security option would show up (pattern, pin, password). I think the current design is horrible, as the pin-pad or dot's to draw pattern are there as soon as you hit the Home button.
Just as and example, if I have PIN as security measure, I will have a pin-pad over my lock screen picture, even though I just want to check the time. It's visually bad.
Same thing for SMS. Even if you disable to show the message on lock screen, it will pop-up a rectangular white box saying "New message" (twice on the same box btw). Another visual blunder.
It was waaay better on the previous version when a small, transparent circle would show a number (of how many unread messages) and an small envelope (or a phone, in case was a missed call).
How can they possibly think the current way looks better?!
Disappointed :/
