Okay so I keep a pass code on my phone and set that the phone locks after 5 minutes, any way to keep that but also in those 5 minutes have a regular slide to unlock instead of nothing? I want this instead of nothing.

This is possible using Tasker and it's plugin Secure Settings. It does not need root, but you have to remeber to enable both apps in "Device administrators".

I played around a little with it and came up with this, too much to explain so I recorded the process if you're new to Tasker. It's probably not perfect and may not work 100% of the time, but it seems well enough from my limited testing.
