Lock SMS

While viewing an SMS threat, if I hold my finger down on an incoming message, I get a list of options, one of which is "lock message".. This may sound dumb, but what exactly does that do? When I try it, the message is still there, but has a lock symbol next to it. Not understanding the functionality?

Probably marks it so it can not be deleted. Try it.

yea, should be the same thing as the "protect" option on other phones.
