Locked in HBoot no way out.

We bought this HTC One M7 for my 13 year old son who lives in the UK he managed to sleep on the dam thing sending it into the locked HBoot Menu. Now we cant get out. We can select with the vol up button (not vol down) but the power button will not select anything. pulling my hair out on this one... is there anyway to access phone via usb and software..

Is the power button out of whack, by chance? If so, perhaps GENTLY depress with a ballpoint pen to see if that selects the item you want. There were some where the power buttons were messed up.

Thanks for the reply, I've tried pressing the power button with the tip end of a pencil in all configurations i can think of, nothing seemed to work... but the button must work otherwise I wouldn't be able to turn the phone on and off... so I'm not sure what the heck is going on.
