Locked out of phone and backup password doesn't work, how can I get back in?

Locked out of phone and backup password doesn't work

Something is wrong with my Note 5 fingerprint sensor and it locked me out for too many failed attempts.

I tried entering my backup password which is a number near and dear to my heart. I would never forget it...but it says it is wrong.

I tried entering my Google primary email and password. I made sure to enter it exactly as shown in my LastPass account. Didn't work.

I'm now told I have ONE attempt remaining before my phone is factory reset, which is the only thing I don't remember setting.

What can I do so I don't lose all my settings, files and apps?? Seriously freaking out here!

Welcome to Android Central! It'll be tricky. The only thing I can suggest is to turn off 2-step authentication on your Google account (if it's on in the first place), then try entering your Google credentials again.
