Lockscreen customization ?

I've used widgetlocker with gingerbread and the one problem that it had was the double lockscreen situation (you open the widgetlocker lockscreen and then the stock lockscreen appears) This occurred when you had the pin or pattern lock engaged. Does this problem exist with ics using the Security > Lockscreen > None proceedure you mention?

That completely disables the stock lockscreen, so you won't see it pop up at all.

I'm not sure if what I want is possible on Android but I just want my notifications on the lock screen (or even before the lock screen), similar to what I had on webOS and on iOS. I want to be able to press the power button and see the missed calls, text messages, emails etc. that I can see in the pull down drawer thingy. I might even want to be able to customize it so that while the phone is locked it won't show the content of emails or text messages, but that's not important. I just want wants on the notification screen to show up.

I've tried WidgetLocker but I can't find a widget that show me all the notifications. I've also tried the flyscreen, which is a neat idea, but requires apps to use a specific api to send notifications to it.

Is it possible to get my notifications on the lockscreen?

I like things how I like them so I see where you are coming from but keep in mind that if you are using slide to unlock and no extra security (pattern code or face unlock) then you can just slide the "curtain" down even while the phone is locked.

Yeah, I know :) However, even that is an extra step when just wanting to glance on the notifications. And, more importantly, I might not be allowed to or want to sacrifice the security for that convenience. It's a totally different thing to be able to see a recent email or two and having all your data including passwords etc exposed to someone malicious.

U can try using executive assistant widget on your lockscreen and that will show missed calls, emails etc.

Thanks, I'm trying it out now. It's not what I want, but the closest so far. I still have to log in to any service I want to be checked (except for missed calls and sms) and other notifications, like updates available, tasker status etc., can't be shown.

Wigdet Locker, ClockQ which you can customize to open any app you want from lockscreen, Missed it! for the notifications(which you can also access from lockscreen) and Circle battery widget :p

I would like to dump the stock lock screen and go back to WL (I had some problems with it on my Fascinate) but one of the features that I think I might miss from the stock screen is the ability to dismiss a call and send them a stock text. I do this a lot while I'm at work. Anyone have a solution for this?
