Lockscreen picture doesn't show

Hi folks

I got the op7pro now for about a week.

I already set a nice live background (walloop) and defined a picture of my boy as lockscreen background.

Sadly, this pic doesn't show. It actually DID show once, after turning the screen off after a phone call. Suddenly the picture was displayed. Then the screen turned black again and the pic was never displayed again.
I mean, I know that the inactivity screen does only show, when I tap (double tap) it, but still, why is it black instead of showing the pic as it should?

Any ideas? Am i doing something wrong?

Disable ambient display and you will see you lock screen photo.

D'uh ... that's awkward. I am used to the always on display of my old LG V30. When I tapped there, my lockscreen showed.

hmm... is there a way to get the pic on the ambient display?

The ambient display is their version of AOD but it's not always on so no, you can't have a photo on it.

On the OnePlus 7 Pro if you have ambient display enabled, I believe it will show the lock screen when you press the power button instead.

This is a bummer for me. Really hope they get AOD better implemented on the 8.
