Lockscreen Video Wallpaper Freezes

Just like the title says, sometimes when I wake my phone, the stock live Wallpaper isn't moving. I noticed that this happens to other live wallpapers that I download from the galaxy theme store. Does this happen to anyone else? Any thoughts on how to fix?

Me personally i won't use live stock wallpapers, but i have used a video i made for my lockscreen and has never freezed .

It's weird because so far it only seems to happen with any wallpapers downloaded from the Galaxy Theme Store. Probably happens about 25% of the time.

I noticed it with the one dark bubble stock video, but it didnt really bother me.

does every video do that or just the one? these are just random people making themes with videos, not Samsung. there will be issues at times.

Every video from samsung does which is weird. Even the stock ones do.

Yeah I'm traveling for work this week buy I might give it an ole factory reset if a software update doesn't fix it.

I did not know you can have video for the AOD. That's pretty cool, now to find something cool to add.

It has to be something with the video itself. I had this issue with the one stock video wallpaper before I wiped my device, and I still see the freeze every now and then with the same wallpaper. I switched back to one of my own videos for wallpaper.

Just tested for a whole day no freezes at all on my AT&T Note10 Plus.

It can just be the system pausing it to save resources. Is your Power Mode settings set to Optimized or have Adaptive Power Saving enabled? Maybe try High Performance mode or Adaptive Power Saving turned off.

I think I figured out the cause and fix. I turned off lift to wake because I was sick of the screen waking when I wanted to use the S-Pen for a screen off memo. Since doing so, the video wallpaper hasn't frozen once.

Thanks! Funny thing is, I tried all the obvious stuff like app optimization and ended up stumbling on the answer by accident!
