I am coming from a Note 7 and S7Edge. They do not allow lockscreen widgets. I really would like to use something like simple calendar widget or one of the many other calendar widgets so I can see my schedule just by double tapping the screen. Is that possible with the OP3?

How is that possible? So I can't put calendar info or any info on the lockscreen? Seems crazy

Been loving the phone, but still surprised I cant put any useful info (calendar, weather, etc) on native lockscreen. Anyone found a solution?

I just transferred from the Lumia universe a few days ago. I was hoping to find an answer how to quickly see whether I've got messages from different services, like e-mail, whatsapp, sms etc, but here I seem to get a cold slap in my face. For chrissakes, this is a backward operating system if such a basic funktionality is missing :-(

Welcome from WP. I'm about a year ahead of you from WP migration. I'm not aware of being able to assign an app to lock screen like WP. You may want to enable more notifications. By default in the "Sound & notification" setting, "Hide sensitive notification content" is selected. Switch to "Show all notification content" and that will likely give you more information.

You also probably miss the counters on app icons (like new message count). Get Nova launcher (pro is $0.99 today) and it can help you get those counters with TeslaUnread -- Nova will assist in getting that.
