Lolli for T-Mobile HTC One (M8)

What I've observed so far is that battery consumption is a bit faster but I blame the system settling in and some apps not supporting Project Volta yet. I usually keep a 7800mah battery with me and I'm not too fond of using the 2.1amp port but at the same time, 1amp isn't nearly powerful enough to charge the phone and have it on at the same time.

Either way, we'll all see how battery life is after a week with Lollipop but I miss having many things on without worrying about battery going downwards 😕

U WOT M8

I did the update yesterday. I haven't noticed much change as far as battery use. Some things are different. But so far so good

Got the update a few hrs ago (Feb 12, 2015)…clicked update icon and it totally messed up my phone. Got stuck at the very end of the update, about 15% remaining at install, the update was into updating all the apps and then bam, it kept sending error messages saying UI stopped unexpectedly, etc. The messages keep going for like forever, as if in a loop. Got in touch with HTC agent, he told me to reset it to factory after draining out the battery…not much help there as I lost all my contacts, pictures, media, etc as I did not have an SD card. Google was a blessing as my photos, media were automatically updated, but contacts, etc are all gone…totally a JUNK update. Wish I could go back to apple soon as I still have EMI on my phone with T-mobil.

I received the update on Tuesday night after checking for updates. I did not use WiFi do download and it was still relatively fast. 1 thing I have noticed, if I'm not jus f'ing up somewhere, I no longer have face unlock. 2 - there is no option for runtime under developer.

You now need to go to Settings->Security->Advanced->Trusted Agents. Turn on Smart Lock. Then go back to Smart Lock under Screen Security and you should see Trusted Face as an option.

ETA: Lollipop uses ART now, no option to use Dalvik.

Anyone else having problems with motion launch gestures after the 5.0 update?

Granted swipes and taps never worked 100% of the time, but lately, first thing in morning, my phone will not respond to any swipe or tap, not even an angry couple of smacks with a knuckle. I have to tap the power button to wake the phone. For the rest of the day, gestures work as expected, but 6-8 hours of inactivity really seem to do a number on the phone.

I've recalibrated the "G-Sensor" to see if that'll help, so we'll wait and see.

My big complaint with lollipop right now is the change to texting with the built in messaging app. I used to be able to tap a word that auto corrected and change it via the suggestions. Now it no longer does that. Super annoying. Anyone know if this still works with non native messaging apps?
