Lollipop 5.0.2 - 3 Days since cache partition wipe, here comes the lag

So, it's been 3 days since I wiped the cache partition. Most things have been running fine.

Now today, here comes the lag.
Every time or most of the time when I leave an app and return to a homescreen I get a black screen for about half a second or so.

I have read about this before and the answer usually is wipe the cache partition but really this is not good enough, I a should never have to do that every few days that is not a solution but a pain.

Any advice?

That little lag seems to be a Lollipop memory issue, supposedly patched for the next release. Until that comes out, try just restarting your phone every couple days.

Would be great if the next release stabilises my nexus. I only bought it in October it worked good on km then I upped to lolly and now my poor nexus is suffering for it.

I hope the next release is not too far around the corner!
