Lollipop feature on my Note4?

I have never seen this at all on my Note before. As you can see a txt is floating in the background and this is my lock screen. In the past week a coworker and I have noticed YouTube and other apps are crashing or lagging. Has anyone else noticed anything like this. On Sprint from the East coast US.

I was wondering the same thing and these new Facebook notifications def look like lollipop. The only reason I'm saying that is because I used to own a Nexus 6.

WoW....so they really are just an updated version of facebook? nothing else?

Does the screen wake up when u get these notifications?

From what I can tell it's nothing else. I'm still in 4.4.4 and I know Facebook and messenger both got updated a few days ago.
I have a leather flip case on my phone so I can't tell if it wakes the phone up or not. I want to say no but I could be wrong.

Do you automatically update all ur apps? I do it manually, and every time I want to update FB and it's messenger app, I change my mind after I read reviews on how horrible the update it.

It's just Facebook, it only works with their app. I need to figure out how to turn it off b/c it's annoying.

Just turn it off in the app settings within the app. I unchecked lock screen notifications. Seems to have worked for me.

The lock screen notifications I posted about in another thread--no one had an answer. It seemed to be a Lollipop feature, yet I am on 4.4.4. Since then, I've also gotten such notifications from text messaging (using Google's messenger app)

So, I'm thinking this is not necessarily a feature you have to have Lollipop for. I'm liking it a lot. In fact, I wish I could get a couple of other apps to do it as well.

Thanks for all the input. So far Ive only noticed these notifications with birthdays so I can handle that. I auto update certain apps and must have missed this one. From what Ive seen Lollipop doesnt look to be all that great on the Verizon S5. Time will tell I guess.

That's weird that you're seeing this notifications show up in messenger. I use messenger and haven't seen these notifications pop up like that. Plus I just tested it again and it's the same old 4.4.4 os.

I don't get many texts, so haven't tested it extensively, but the one that came through was from T-mobile itself. Maybe that matters. (Can't see how, but...)
