So I decided to ask Boost about what is the current status as to if whether or not If the Moto G was going to get Lollipop and apparently, things are misty. Here is what I got when I asked if we were getting (5.1)

Well a month back someone on YouTube and XDA leaked the Boost Mobile Moto G Lollipop 5.0.2 Soak Test Zip. And he showed the process of installing the Zip to his phone through apply update from SD Card. He said it ran fine for the most part, but he violated Motorola's Terms of Agreement by releasing the Zip. So I assume that since they have a soak test that we should get the update sometime hopefully by the end of the summer maybe late July? I'm just hoping they get this update out to us before Android M is released. I bet we won't be seeing that update for our Moto G.😑

Boost Mobile Moto G (4.4.4)
Or The Sprint LG G3 (5.0.1)

^ Is the Video still up? I may try to do this to my Moto G if by the time they don't give it to us by the end of the July, I would like to try and do that. And what is really the difference in Android M? The UI seems to be the same from what I could tell and doesn't seem to be a major upgrade. Well, besides the App Drawer which has indeed change.

I don't think I'm allowed to post the link here. I would be violating Motorola Terms and Conditions. But I can give you the name of the channel where the video is. But I'm going to try it myself and see if it improves on my ram management. And Android M has Battery Improvements, New APIs, Etc. I just think it would be nice if that was the last update for the Moto X, G, and E (1st gen.) Devices. Android M improves and supposedly fixes all the fails and issues with Lollipop, so I'd like to take my chance with it, if we were given the OTA on Boost Mobile when that time or if it does at all.😂😊

Re: Boost Moto G Owners..

Here is the channel name. Just Tech. And if you scroll down one video you should see the video you need. I hope this helps.😊

Oh. So really Android M is suppose to help out with your Phones performance. If that's the case then I think Motorola should consider giving there first gen phones this. Not only because do I feel like they have somewhat screwed us with the wait of Lollipop, if memory serves me right they did have a bad start getting 5.0 onto there phones due to some reason I can't remember. But also I think this, Android M, will possibly be the last somewhat minor update before next year's phones, which I don't really want to go off topic but I think will have more powerful processors and battery performance then to what we may have. So having said that, I do agree that we should get some Android M love. ☺

Have you installed the zip. I did and everything has gone great so far. I factory rest before and after to make sure it was cleaned of any old files. Now I just have to set it up and see how it performs. I'll post updates later tomorrow on my usage. I hope it's working well for you if you installed it. And yes I agree that we should get some Android M loving. At least let us get one more update Motorola.😋😀

Yes, I actually did install the Zip. Though probably not the brightest way (I installed the Zip via., from my Moto G. Instead of installing it from my computer). When the phone finished downloading the file it took a good 10 minutes for it to be successfully downloaded and a good 20 minutes for the Apps to finish updating themselves. For me, I had allot of Apps on my phone which caused the phone to be laggy for the first 10 minutes I had Lollipop installed. But from then after, the phone went back to working smooth for me.

Switching from Screen to Screen was fluid as well as web browsing. Haven't experience much problems in using any of my Apps at all. One bump that I did have was when I was updating one of my Apps from the Play Store I did get the infamous message, "Insufficient Space available" So I did have to remove some of the Apps I was using and put those on my S4.

But overall, I am loving Lollipop. The notifications bar looks so nice and very different from KitKats. Really am tempted now to root my S4 to having Lollipop lol.

Have you had any screen glitches? I've had a couple, but no enough to bother me. I just wanted to know if you had the same.😊

Battery life is way better for me than KitKat 4.4.4. I get 2+ hours more!!! So I really love it, but I've had it a screen glitch, but it gone now. So for now everything is good. How is your Moto G faring with the update?

Same. I have been getting some, especially when opening some of my Apps but other than that, no issues at all. ☺

The only problem I have is the phones storage. It seems like Google Play Service likes to take allot of your internal memory which leaves my Moto G in a crippling state. I can't really update none of my Apps anymore because of this.
