Since yesterday when I accepted the OTA Lollipop 5.02 from Sprint, my G2 keeps getting a notification that "An application requires an update, Requested by Google Play Services"

I have updated all from Google Play Store, all from LG and can find none on Sprint Zone.

Clicking the notification takes me to the Play Store to update Google Play Services, but there is no update. If I open the app, there is no indication of anything needing update. I can clear the notification, but it keeps coming back repeatedly

Any ideas how to make this notification go away?

What's your Play services version? You can see that in your settings - apps. The latest is 7.3.29.

That app is usually updated under the hood with no need for you to confirm that. So that's strange. Another possibility could be that is asking to update Android System Webview. After lollipop this process is done from the Play Store. In kitkat it was done as part of a system update.

I had the same issue. Go into setting, uninstall Google Play Services and then install. That fixed the issue for me.

I ended up reinstalling both Play Services & Android System Webview. So far, so good. Thanks
