Lollipop restore on device setup

I have noticed when I go through device setup when I change roms my last backup is never in the list of devices. I only see my old OPO or my N7. I make a note to backup my device in settings before I flash just in case I can do my setup easier. Also, anyone know how to remove those old devices from that list?

I was under the impression that you have to give the backup option some time to alert Google servers before you do a reset. As for removing old devices, I am not totally sure. I think they eventually fall off, but I could be wrong.

It's been a month since my first backup with my Nexus 6 and it doesn't show up in the list. It's strange. I wish I could find where I manage those old backups and remove them.

Play store (edit: desktop site) and the gear icon in the upper right. You can't remove devices though.

Took care of that when I sold the devices.
