lollipop upgrade

I received upgrade on my Motorola G(1st addition) phone. Ever since I not been able to send or receive text/attachment messages. I have talked to my carrier (Consumer Cellular) with out much help. One suggestion was that my APN settings are wrong. I did change, but with no help. I have "Reset" phone twice.
Looking for any suggestions.

Have you verified the apn with consumer cellular?

Re: lollipop upgrade

My wife and I have identical first generation Moto G phones. Mine did the Lollipop upgrade first and hers happened a few weeks later. Since then, she hasn't been able to send MMS messages but SMS is OK. Mine works fine with both. I have called Consumer Cellular twice and they tried a few things but nothing worked. On the second call the CSR said that it was Googles fault and they would need to fix it. It has been two months and no fix. Does anyone have an answer?

Re: lollipop upgrade

After my wife's Lollipop upgrade, which broke MMS, my first call to CC resulted in a discovery that there were no APN settings anymore. I entered in the settings and the phone worked great. The following week MMS failed again but the APN settings were still there. CC was unable to find a solution and so she has gone without MMS for two months. When you have a new granddaughter, not being able to send pictures is a big deal.

Re: lollipop upgrade

Not to seem dense, but why can't she send them as email attachments?

Re: lollipop upgrade

My wife and I have phones on CC and have the same problem. I even got a phone on Cricket to be able to use MMS. If the phone is not a phone that came from them the usually are of little help getting. MMS to work.
