lollipop vs kit kat??

Finally got lollipop becuz had to get a new phone so it came pre-installed on at&t. I actually like it. Im surprised. Now if i can just figure out how to root it. It a be perfect..since i got this new s5 i noticed my old s5 screen is a lot dimmer than this one. I dont know if its becuz this phone is new or if its lollipop

What's the big deal? 5.0 came pre-installed in my recently purchased T-Mobile S5 and it's so much better than kit kat. I remember back when having 4.4.2 and it was horrible. YouTube would constantly freeze. Issues with the keyboard. It just sucked. 5.0 runs much smoother IMO.

Me, too! But, I am constantly getting notices to update to Lollipop and I have to keep swiping them away. I fear I will accidentally hit the yes button. Any ideas how to avoid this? Can't keep it from coming back, all day long!

You will need to root your phone. Unlike the rest of the world, there is no option to uncheck updates. Welcome to the, "Land of the Free"

Worldwide users can go to...

Settings > About device > Software updates > uncheck Auto update
