Lollipop?

I also received the Google Play Services error. After trying to update this multiple times via the Play Store it kept showing no update available. Finally, I checked again and I was able to download an update to Google Play Services a few minutes ago. Error no longer pops up after installing this update.

I know someone above mentioned that there is horrible lag, but has anyone else noticed any type of lag with this update? Is TouchWiz smoother overall?

I might wait until I read some user reviews until I update.

There was quite a bit of lag initially after I downloaded the update. I was experiencing a few errors but after about 30 minutes my phone rebooted on its own. Once it restarted, all of my SD apps were showing up again (they previously showed they weren't available). The lag I had previously is now gone and overall the software feels pretty snappy. I was charging my phone while the update was proceeding and I got a warning that my phone was too hot and it went into "Cooling Down" mode to cool my phone down. This has reduced performance some and it's still in this mode even though my phone is pretty cool now.

It is a bit laggy few minutes after the update. But now my phone is buttery smooth and I experience an increase in performance overall. Apps opens much faster than it was on KK

Got the update a little while ago, and so far so good.

One thing I don't like: Haptic feedback on lock screen when I unlock using the fingerprint reader. I can't figure out how to turn it off.

Ok it's runnin alot better now. I see the download booster has been added from Verizon. But I can't figure out how to turn up my notifications volume? Anyone have an idea?

After a large update sometimes the phone has to sit for a little while to regain its bearings :)
This update took you from dalvik to ART runtime so its understandable to experience some small issues on first boot.

Was this Verizon update to Lollipop forced on you or did you have an option to accept or decline the update?

Don't knock it till you try it ;)

I'm going to allow my phone to download as soon as its available form my carrier. If by some chance there are problems (probably just small bugs if any) its not the end of the world.
If I wanted to stop progress I'd buy an iPhone ;)

I got the sprint s5 how the new 5.0 update on the verizon s5. Any bugs on the new update.

Upgraded my VZW Samsung s5 to lollipop today. Now my phone is useless. I am constantly receiving the error "com.sec.imsservice has stopped" and no efforts seem to fix it. The same message keeps popping up every two seconds or so until it freezes up. Overheats and drains the battery in no time. Pull battery, repeat. I did two factory resets to no avail.

After 45 minutes on chat with Samsung they said it was a software issue (their issue, not Verizon's), told me the roll out was just happening and bugs were expected (I paraphrase) and that (get this) I should wait before updating.?? Ha! They told me to send them the phone and they would fix it.

Better luck to everyone else!
